Dreamland
A selection of unrelated erotic images, some explicit, others surreal.
Alex Freyling describes his work thus: “I like to photograph and film things, situations, people and creatures of all kinds [Getier], according to my own aesthetic concepts. Most often this is in comparison to “professional” photography and “moneymaking” films, spontaneous and improvised. Unique features and embellishments arise very often during the post production process.”
The title refers to “readymades” which is an idea that Dada artist Marcel Duchamp championed, although here the artist uses it as a shorthand for easy-to-access erotic images. Still, I quite like the idea that by simply including these random visual images into a film, the director has made a new kind of art.
