This extended short film explores the idea of what it means to be human – and a man – in a surreal and often funny way. The clueless aliens are taught to follow masculine stereotypes with the ultimate goal of having hetereosexual sex. The conceit allows the director to send up these tropes and also to explore what it’s like to be different amid these rigid social rules. The filmmaking has a delightful renaissance feel as well. It’s a fascinating film and worth the time – especially for the dance scene.
